Yolanda D. Edwards
Co-founder · Attorney
Member of the State Bars of Georgia and Indiana.
Yolanda focuses her practice on personal injury and family law. She understands what an injury or a family change does to a household and its budget, and she works hard to find solutions that help her clients reach their goals.
Yolanda D. Edwards is co-founder of the law firm of Edwards & Hodges LLP. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Shorter University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Indiana University - Maurer School of Law (Bloomington), where she served as staff editor of the Federal Communications Law Journal. Yolanda is a member of the State bars of Georgia and Indiana.
Prior to teaming with David to form Edwards & Hodges LLP, Yolanda was an associate for one of the largest law firms in Indiana. She has significant experience navigating the administrative bureaucracies of federal and state agencies to obtain successful outcomes for her clients. She brings this particular expertise to Edwards & Hodges LLP where the goal is to provide professional services to meet clients’ goals and objectives, particularly keeping families together and businesses running. Yolanda is no stranger to hard work as she has been a retail store manager, a courier for FedEx, and a roofing contractor in Atlanta prior to becoming an attorney. Her experiences from these varied roles created a solid foundation for her work as a strong advocate for her clients.
Throughout her career, Yolanda has been active in her community. She has served on the boards of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation, Marion County Bar Association, the American Association of Blacks in Energy (Indiana Chapter), and she was Board President and Pro Bono Counsel for Indiana Youth Services Association. Yolanda has been recognized in Who’s Who in Black Indianapolis and has received numerous awards for her service in the community, including the YWCA’s Salute to Women of Achievement Award.
In her spare time, Yolanda most enjoys spending time with her partner and their young children, which includes among other things, reading, finger painting, creating things with playdough, and coloring…outside the lines.
